What Dancers Looked Like 100 Years Ago

 

 

The New York Public Library has put together one of the largest digital collections of photographs, prints, and documents in the world, and we've recently had great fun browsing through everything.  One of our favorite collections is the Jerome Robbins Dance Division, which aims to chronicle the evolution of dance across time.  There were a few of the photos that really jumped out to us that captured the unique lives and lifestyle of dancers from 1880 through the early 1920s.  Here are a few of our favorites...
